Well, it’s been a lot of work, but I have now released my WordPress theme Caffeine. Read all about it on the Caffeine Theme Homepage.
If you like the looks of it, go ahead and grab it. If you’re looking for a theme to modify you may find it interesting. I did my best to make the code readable and I encourage folks to make it their own.
If you decide to use Caffeine I’d love to hear from you via email or comment. Make sure to leave a URL. If you find any problems please leave them as comments as well and I’ll do my best to fix it for the next version.
Enjoy, and happy blogging!

Carla points out that we now have an answer to the age old question of which came first, the chicken or the egg.
Carla points to this article on cnn.com as a possible definitive answer to this age old question.
Now a team made up of a geneticist, philosopher and chicken farmer claim to have found an answer. It was the egg.
Put simply, the reason is down to the fact that genetic material does not change during an animal’s life.
Therefore the first bird that evolved into what we would call a chicken, probably in prehistoric times, must have first existed as an embryo inside an egg.
I’d never thought about it too hard, but it all makes sense. Now we’ll need to come up with a term to replace chegg!

I have to say that I spent more hours than desired with my head in a freezer today. Worse yet, this is the second time I’ve had to defrost my previously frost-free refrigerator in the past month.
Conclusion: something’s not right in the defroster unit, but what? Since I’m no appliance repairman I was happy to find AcmeHowTo.com.
The Acme How To Refrigerator Troubleshooting Guide made for easy lookup of symptoms, possible causes, and how to test each part. To complete the picture I found the handy technical data sheet tacked behind the front grill on the fridge.
With that in hand and the faulty part identified I could look up the appropriate replacement part number. Another web search turned up AppliancePartsPros.com. Their site is easy to navigate and search. They have the part in stock and their price is about $10 below Sears, so I ordered it.
Results yet to be seen, but these two sites, AcmeHowTo.com and AppliancePartsPros.com are definitely keepers.

Fill rocks glass with
Add (in this order):
- 1.5 oz Scotch
- 1.5 oz Drambuie
If you add the Scotch first the drink won’t need much mixing since the Drambui is the heavier liquor and settles through, blending with the Scotch.
Many recipes call for more Scotch (2.25 oz Scotch, .75 oz Drambuie) but I prefer the sweeter half-and-half blend. Since Drambuie is in fact made from Scotch, blended with honey, herbs and spices, this drink is a Scotch lover’s dream!

As New Hampshire (USA) dries out from some of the worst flooding we’ve ever seen in this area we look to the world to see how others handle these disasters.
In Ireland, proper evacuation procedures and flood “relief” are essential during a crisis
Thanks again to Dee for sending this on to me.
