A reader commented on my story about Kopi Luwak, a coffee brewed from beans collected from the droppings of a wild animal, that there is a tea in China brewed from the dung of tea-eating insects.

Leslie, the reader, said it was called Poo-poo Pu-erh. I couldn’t find much info on this online, but this article describes an interesting encounter with this rare beverage.

I welcome anyone with more information on this tea to please comment; and for those of you disgusted by the very thought, well… let’s just try not to forget that honey is made from bee puke.
